Tender Description
Selwyn District Council are seeking tenders for the construction of an upgrade to the intersection of Rolleston Drive and Tennyson Street, which will involve replacing the current roundabout with traffic signals.
The intersection upgrade includes replacing an existing water main and sewer main on Tennyson Street and also piping the remaining section of open water race on Tennyson Street, south of the intersection.
In addition, works include the upgrade of Rolleston Drive, west of Tennyson Street, up to Othello Drive. This upgrade is to change this section of Rolleston Drive to a lower speed environment on the approaches to the future town centre entrance and will include new planted median islands and paved footpaths.
With the number of businesses in the vicinity of these works, minimizing impacts to these businesses throughout works will be a major component to be carefully considered.
