SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATION

The following summary indicates the general nature of the Works for which the Principal desires Tenders to be submitted and is issued to enable Contractors to make an assessment whether the Specification documents should be obtained from the Principal for the purpose of submitting a tender response. It does not form part of the Specification and should not be included as part of the Tenderer's offer.

PURPOSE OF WORK

The Contractor must complete the Attemperating Pump Preventative Maintenance and Repairs for a period of two (2) years at Vales Point Power Station.

LOCATION OF SITE

The Vales Point Power Station is located on the southern shore of Lake Macquarie, approximately 130 km north of Sydney, New South Wales, and approximately 3 km off the Pacific Highway North of Doyalson.

EXTENT OF WORK

The Contractor must carry out the overhaul and agreed repairs to the Vales Point Power Station attemperating pump fleet (the Works) as directed via Work Direction during the winter months, to maintain pump reliability and minimise unavailability during the summer months. The current Vales Point attemperating pump fleet consists of eight (8) off Flygt submersible pumps; seven (7) off Model PL7115.905 and one (1) off Model PL 7121.905. Both models are interchangeable and come with 225kW 415V 3 phase 50Hz motors.
