New Plymouth District Council (NPDC) requires a suitably qualified and capable supplier with the ability to successfully undertake the replacement of both theatre lighting rigs and install permanent DMX Infrastructure in our popular TSB Showplace.
The successful applicant must be willing to work with a third party, if and, as required. This involves upgrading the current theatre performance fixtures to LED. The venue hosts two theatres, including the traditional three tier style performance theatre, located in the TSB Theatre and a black box theatre, located in the Theatre Royal. The TSB Theatre and the Theatre Royal are the two main auditoriums in the TSB Showplace, both unique in character. The TSB Theatre (previously known as the Opera House) is ornately decorated and exudes theatrical ambience and is the premier space for world class theatrical productions and shows held in New Plymouth. The Theatre Royal is a more contemporary and intimate multi purpose performance auditorium. The TSB Theatre needs to offer the full colour range, as would be available with Tungsten fixtures and gel scales, and the application needs to be of industry standard, with the correct tools. NPDC requires the successful supplier be able to provide training for the regular operation of the fixtures.
