Melbourne Music Week

⁠⁠⁠A call out to artists and practitioners - Melbourne Music Week expressions of interest (EOIs) are now open.

After making a significant contribution to the return of live music in Melbourne post lockdown with MMW Ex—tended, MMW will revert to its 10-day festival presentation format, taking place from 3 December to 12 December 2021.

Bringing people together in a celebration of music, MMW will take over Melbourne’s live music venues, partner with iconic cultural organisations and spill out onto the streets and laneways to recognise, reveal and revel in our music scene.

Having built a reputation for supporting the local music industry over a decade, City of Melbourne is proud to have programmed over 2,700 acts, presented more than 1,400 events, opened the doors to 200 venues and spaces across the city and invited over 470,000 people to experience music in new and unexpected ways.

Do you have an idea or show you would like presented as a part of the 2021 program? We are calling on artists, emerging or established promoters, music labels, creatives, venues and producers with a vision or musically inspired concept to get in touch.

All applicants are encouraged to email the MMW team directly with any questions regarding EOIs at melbourne.music@melbourne.vic.gov.au. Any additional information or changes made to your application after submission can be directed to that email address.

Successful applicants will receive a programming slot and/or grant money based on their suitability when judged by the Selection Criteria.
