Provision of Event Management for Australia Day

⁠⁠⁠Each year the City of South Perth oversees the facilitation of a range of Australia Day activities on the South Perth foreshore comprised of morning and afternoon/evening event requirements, which is summarised below:

• Morning Requirements (approx. 8am-10.30am) - Welcome to Country, Citizenship ceremony, presentation of community citizenship awards and associated event components; and
• Afternoon/Evening Requirements (approx. 12pm-10pm) - traffic management, crowd control and associated event components for the Skyworks/fireworks show.

The City of South Perth is seeking an experienced Contractor to oversee the planning, delivery and evaluation of the City's Australia Day event requirements to be held on the South Perth foreshore on 26 January 2022. Additionally, the contract will include multi-year renewal options for the appointed Contractor to oversee the event requirements in 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026, which will be subject to an annual performance review of the Contractor and annual Council approval of the event budget.

Note: The City's annual Australia Day activities will be subject to any changes to the COVID-19 pandemic situation in Western Australia, which may include event modification or cancellation.

The City of South Perth is a medium sized metropolitan local government authority in the inner southern suburbs of the Western Australian capital city of Perth. Situated across the Swan River about 4 kilometres south of Perth CBD, the City is nearly 20 square kilometres and covers the suburbs of South Perth, Kensington, Como, Manning, Karawara, Waterford and Salter Point. The Organisation
The City's Civic Centre is located on the corner of Sandgate Street and South Terrace, South Perth. The City also operates from other locations including its Operations Centre at 199 Thelma Street, Como.

The organisation has the responsibility for the good government of the City of South Perth. The City must perform its functions in accordance with the Local Government Act (WA) 1995. The City also has statutory obligations under ma wide range of state and federal legislation.
