Management and Operation of Council Swimming Pool - Rainbow Swimming Pool

⁠⁠⁠The Council’s main objective for the management of the pools is to get more people swimming more often. The specific objectives for the pools are aimed at ensuring that the Council’s aquatic assets are developed and managed in such a way that they will effectively meet the current and changing needs of the community.

The management and operation of the swimming pools is an important part of the Council Recreation Strategy, underpinned by the desire to create vibrant communities, to encourage participation in a range of recreational activities in facilities which have multiple users and are financially and environmentally sustainable.

The Council recognises the importance of the pools for the community. This Specification of Service seeks to provide a framework by which the pools are managed in a manner which maximizes community engagement, and ensures participant safety, responsible asset management and financial responsibility.
