Tender Description
The Mallee Catchment Management Authority (CMA) is seeking suitable suppliers with recognised proven skills in the delivery of water for the environment. The project requires delivery of water for the environment across multiple locations within the Mallee CMA region. Water for the environment helps to promote environmental, social and cultural outcomes for the community.
Rivers, wetlands and their associated anabranches and floodplains are a defining feature of the Mallee region. The health of these waterways and floodplains is fundamental to the region’s environmental, social and economic future. Without natural flooding, the condition of these environments will decline. Provision of water for the environment, such as through these projects, helps maintain the condition of sites during periods without natural flow.
PART A 2021/22 Environmental Water Year - Spring
Up to 7,330 ML of environmental water is planned to be delivered within the Mallee CMA area in Spring 2021. It is anticipated investor approval for the water allocation and funds will be realised by 1 August 2021. (Note this approval is not guaranteed, the Mallee Catchment Management Authority will issue a contract to the tender once funding and water are approved, if approval is not received no claims shall be made by the contractor to the Mallee Catchment Management Authority).
It is proposed environmental water delivery will commence in early September 2021 and cease no later than 31st November 2021. Tenderers should have appropriate allowance within their submission to cover costs of maintaining equipment and resources for this period.
PART B 2021/22 Environmental Water Year - Autumn
Up to 5,470 ML of environmental water is planned to be delivered within the Mallee CMA area in Autumn 2022. It is anticipated investor approval for the water allocation and funds will be realised by 1 April 2022. (Note this approval is not guaranteed, the Mallee Catchment Management Authority will issue a contract to the tender once funding and water are approved, if approval is not received no claims shall be made by the contractor to the Mallee Catchment Management Authority).

Important Notice to Tenderers:
At the time of releasing this tender water and funding have not been allocated for this environmental water program. Tenderers shall make themselves aware that upon submission of offer and subsequent notice of preferred tenderer, contracts will not be entered into, until such time as water allocation and funding approval is confirmed.
Mallee Catchment Management Authority will not review claims where there is no contract in place.
