Tender ID: 462100
Tender Details
Tender Description
The Shire of Kent is a rural remote wheatbelt town located about 320 SE of Perth and 200km N of Albany. The Shire covers approximately 5634 square Kms and is predominately an agricultural area with many Wheat & Sheep farmers. We have a road network of approximately 1400km (200km seal). The townsites of Nyabing (120p) and Pingrup(80p) are serviced by a Landfill Waste Facility in Nyabing and Waste Transfer Station in Pingrup.
The facilities are unmanned but are controlled by automatic gates accessible by a key tag issued to residents and local businesses. Prior to the last 12 months they were open and unmanned and this has led to uncontrolled and unauthorized waste being disposed at the
sites and use by non-residents of the shire.
The shire requires a suitably experienced consultant to develop a strategic waste plan that will set the future for the sites and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maximise the life of the sites in a cost effective manner. The shire kerbside general waste
and recycling and transfer station pickup is service by two contractors and the shire requires tender documentation to seek tenders for this service.
The consultant is expected to visit the sites at least once.
A full statement of the Goods/Services required under the proposed Contract appears in the
Specification.
