Brief
Excessive build-up of sludge leads to a reduction in lagoon volume, which compromises storage and /or treatment capacity. As a part of asset maintenance, GVW requires these lagoons to be surveyed to identify and quantify areas of sludge accumulation. The identification and quantifying of sludge deposits will inform the business’s desludging activities and financial planning.
The scope of works involve the hydrographic / bathymetric survey of wastewater treatment lagoons 2 and 3 located at the Broadford wastewater management facility, wastewater treatment lagoons 1, 2 and 3 at Kyabram wastewater management facility and wastewater treatment lagoons 1, 2, 3 and 4 at Mansfield wastewater management facility, and the calculation of accumulated sludge deposit therein.
