Scope of Works:
Replacement of the existing small boat landing at Cape Cuvier, DSL Lake MacLeod site. As part of the works, the contractor will be required to:
- Undertake a review of the company design and site before commencing fabrication and site work.
- Prepare any fabrication drawings necessary to fabricate the works.
- Fabrication, surface treatment and supply of the new small boat landing super-structure including pile sleeves, cross beams, primary steel, secondary steel, access platforms, stairs, handrails, walkway grating and ladders.
- Fabrication, surface treatment and supply of the new access platforms and stairs including primary steel, secondary steel, handrails and walkway grating.
- Fabrication and supply of fenders.
- Off-site construction of components into modules for rapid onsite modular installation (if cost/schedule effective vs stick-build).
- On-site demolition of the existing Small Boat Landing super-structure, access platforms and stairs including disposal. Existing structure to be cut-off at the existing piles, refer to drawings and scope document.
- Onsite rectification of remaining existing steel structure including blast, cleaning, plating and painting.
- Onsite preparation of existing pile heads including cleaning and welding of shear strips.
- Onsite installation of full new super-structure including all pile sleeves, cross beam, primary steel, secondary steel, access platforms, stairs/ramps, handrails, ladders, walkway grating and fenders.
- Onsite grouting of new pile sleeves to existing pile heads.
- - Onsite installation of new access platforms and stairs including primary steel, secondary steel, handrails and walkway grating.
- - Shutdown planning / staging of the works to minimise downtime of the operating facility.
- - Responsible disposal of any equipment and materials discarded in the replacement.
Notes:
- Installation of the replacement structure may be either modular (with pre-construction of modules) or onsite stick-build.
- All works, materials supplied, fabrication, surface treatment, welding, structural works etc. to be in accordance with RTIO and DSL Standards. NDT of welding may be required.
- The onsite Works require working over water, working at the water line and some works under-water.
- The onsite Works must be completed within the shortest possible duration to minimise the shut period for operational use of the Small Boat Landing.
- The total project schedule to practical completion must be as short as possible.
- The closest port for vessel launch, mooring and personnel transfer is Carnarvon (a voyage of approximately 45Nm).
- The Cape Cuvier site is exposed to large swell and wind
