Arthur Beachley and More Park Reserves

⁠⁠⁠Council is undertaking an Expression of Interest process to identify the most suitable future winter tenant for Arthur Beachley and More Park reserves located in Ardoyne Street, Sunshine and Esmond Street, Ardeer.

Interested applicants will have the option to apply for either facilities or both. If applying for both facilities, applicants will need to nominate their first preference.

The facilities at Arthur Beachley include one rectangular sports ground (approx. 118m x 70m) that is suitable for senior and junior level sport with sportsground lighting and a 415m2 community social pavilion that was constructed in the past three years. More Park is undergoing a current reconstruction that will see the site have two rectangular sportsgrounds (approx. 120m x 74m and 100m x 66m), both with sportsground lighting and a new 585m2 pavilion. Both pavilions include a social room, meeting room, change rooms, kitchen, first aid room, storage and umpires room.

Council’s broad aims for the facilities are:

• To provide a facility to address the demand for winter sport in Brimbank
• To provide a facility for the development of participation opportunities, especially for females, juniors, newly arrived and cultural diverse communities
• To provide a facility to allow for sporting programs and activities for the wider community with the aim of fostering growth of both formal and informal sport
• To provide a facility that engages with the surroundin community through the activities of the tenant sports club
• To maximise use of the site / multipurpose use

The Expression of Interest is only open to sports clubs who are interested in occupying either Arthur Beachley or More Park Reserve as the Winter tenant (1 April to 30 September) annually on a Seasonal License Agreement.

Interested applicants should obtain an Arthur Beachley and More Park Reserves Expression of Interest Information package which contains detailed process and facility information and the link to the online application form by contacting Leisure & Community Facilities on sport@brimbank.vic.gov.au

Applications must be made on the official ‘Arthur Beachley and More Park Reserves Expression of Interest Online Application Form’ and submitted no later than 11.59pm Monday 5 July 2021.

Any questions relating to this Expression of Interest process should be directed to Council in writing prior to the closing date to sport@brimbank.vic.gov.au
