⁠⁠⁠Event Coordinator for the ANZPIT Annual Forum
ISD is looking for a creative, organised and self-motivated individual to work as part of a small event coordination team in the planning and management of the Australian & New Zealand Parliamentary Information Technology (ANZPIT) Annual Forum, which is being hosted by Information Services Division (ISD) in October 2021.

You will work closely with the Office of the CIO and in partnership with other ISD, DPS and Parliamentary department stakeholders, to plan and deliver the ANZPIT Forum; undertaking all aspects of events planning, coordination, communications and marketing – from inception to execution, and event wrap-up and evaluation. As a primary point of contact for the event, you will liaise with a range of contact officers and delegates from other Parliaments from across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific region.

Our ideal candidate holds a qualification in communications, events management, marketing or equivalent; has experience in events management including online booking systems; is proficient is MS Office 365 suite; has excellent organisational skills and is comfortable with working with competing priorities often with short deadlines.
Please note that this role will require you at times to work long days or outside normal business hours to deliver the event program, noting the varying time-zones across Australia and the Pacific region.

The Events Coordinator is a member of a small event coordination team, that will lead the planning, coordination, project management and promotion of the annual Australian & New Zealand Parliamentary Information Technology (ANZPIT) Forum.
The role will undertake all aspects of event planning and coordination, marketing, and communications – from inception to execution, and evaluation. The role will work closely with the Office of the CIO and in partnership with other stakeholders Information Services Division, Parliamentary Experience and Communications branches and delegates from other Parliaments from across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific region.

Under limited direction undertake the following duties in accordance with the agreed standards for PSL6 classification.

1. End to end management of the
2021 Australian & New Zealand Parliamentary Information Technology (ANZPIT) Forum, including the planning, implementation and execution of the event.
2. Liaise with ISD senior management, parliamentary events management, communications, and catering services to organise and ensure seamless planning and coordination of the event.
3. Develop a communication and event management plan, including the formation of an event agenda and program outline, and coordinate and oversee each phase during the event.
4. Develop and coordinate the production of promotional material and manage event communications and marketing activities including social media content.
5. Manage event bookings, respond to event enquiries and requests, and manage participant feedback.
6. Engage and communicate with internal/external stakeholders, conference presenters and parliamentary delegates from across Australia, New Zealand and Pacific region.
