WorkSafe Victoria’s vision is “Victorian workers returning home safe every day”. WorkSafe Victoria’s mission is “Actively working with the community to deliver outstanding workplace safety and return to work, together with insurance protection.” As Victoria's health and safety regulator and workplace injury insurer, WorkSafe's role is to reduce workplace harm and improve outcomes for injured workers.

WorkSafe Victoria administers Victoria’s workers compensation scheme and is the state's regulator on workplace health and safety with the aim to make all workplaces free from injury, risk and disease.

Service Objectives

The Third Party Provider Payments (3PPP) solution seeks to digitise the invoice and payment channel between WorkSafe and treaters in order to:

• Make it easier to treaters to serve WorkSafe clients by providing greater certainty and transparency over treatment funding decisions in real-time
• Enable WorkSafe to provide real-time, tailored updates to recovery plans by receiving real-time information from treaters to WorkSafe

Request For Application Overview

Through this Request for Application process, WorkSafe Victoria is seeking responses from suitably qualified organisations to:

• Integrate the 3PPP solution into their market offering to treaters enabling streamlined, real-time eligibility, invoicing, payment and remittance services
• Deliver the services, including invoice relay, support, maintenance and settlement, at scale in a reliable and robust way
• Promote and market the offering, including integration with other services to treaters

Mandatory Criteria

The following five criteria are mandatory requirements for this Requiest For Application:

1 Acceptance of the Conditions of Contract (Part C)

2 Acceptance of the Transaction rate

3 Financial viability

4 Appropriate certified and compliant:

• Enrolment with AUSTRAC with a compliant AML/CTF program, including KYC compliance for the registration entity, or the DBG with which the registration entity is a member
• ISO 27001 Information Security compliance validated or on path to compliance

5 Experience in financial settlement and remittance in health insurance and/or personal injury Schemes
