Contract 1321 Napier Fishing Club Pontoon Replacement Project
This contract is for the procurement of a design and build solution to replace the existing condemned floating pontoons at the Napier Fishing Club Wharf in Napier, Hawke's Bay.
The pontoon replacement project will achieve the following projects requirements:
- Provide ramp users with a temporary berthing structure allowing for users to hold, load/unload, and access their boats.
- Facilitate safer and faster launching and retrieving of vessels.
- Provide temporary berthing of vessels associated with the fishing club.
- Accommodate use of the fishing club's weigh station.
- Promote safe navigation and vessel interaction.
- Provide access to the pontoon that is not inundated on higher tides and considers sea level rise.
- Reuse existing infrastructure (such as piles), where appropriate.
- Provide durable structures that can accommodate the site conditions and achieve a 25-year design life.
