RFQ re Supply, Installation & Servicing of Cardio Equipment at AquaZone

⁠⁠⁠Warrnambool City Council is seeking quotations for the supply, installation and ongoing maintenance of gym cardiovascular and group cycle equipment.

AquaZone is Warrnambool’s only aquatic and recreation facility servicing Warrnambool, Corangamite and Moyne Shire residents with a membership base of approx. 1100 pre COVID. The facility comprises of an Aquatic area, Group Fitness Studios, Health Club and group cycle studio.

Our health Club is open from 6am till 8pm Monday through Friday, and 7am till 6pm Saturday and Sunday. During this time our Health Club caters to the needs of a vast range of individuals that attend our facility for fitness, health, rehabilitation, and social wellbeing. In addition to cardio our Health Club has a range of strength equipment and free weights.

It is important when considering suitable equipment for consideration to be given to both all ability access and use by an ageing demographic, while ensuring equipment is also suitable for use for your everyday gym user through to performance athletes.

Our Group Cycle Studio is currently capable of conducting classes for 20 individuals, with approximately 15-20 classes running across the week. Our studio also comprises of a projector and console that allows on demand virtual classes.

Access to the facility is via two double doors and comprises a single level building.

The layout of equipment in both rooms (the Health Club and Group Cycle Studio) is limited due to size, access to power, IT and antenna connections. A map of the rooms are included in Annexure B.

We are currently looking to upgrade our cardiovascular equipment and group cycle bikes that have come to end of the lease agreement. This equipment compliments our current range of strength equipment which we have recently renewed on a 5 year agreement. We currently run 15 to 20 group cycle classes a week.

This will include updating our integrated consoles which allow members to easily access a range of programs and offerings which include body scanner, access to Group Fitness Timetable, programming, group cycle in class data, virtual group cycle, Application set up, member aspiration analysis, small group training set up and display of the session exercises.

Our current equipment is supported by an integrated software platform and smartphone Application which forms an integral part of our customer journey and member satisfaction.

Our gym equipment is currently supported by Wifi, internet cabling and Antennas.

The list provided is a guideline, we are open to and seeking innovative ideas and responses that improves all ability access and inclusion.

The supplier is to supply the requirement, is also to install, commission, support, and provide training or documentation of the installed equipment. The supplier will be required to enter into a financing arrangement with a financier of Council’s choice which will cover each of the contractual requirements.
