Tender Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a not-for-profit or for-purpose organisation to relocate and reuse the existing Windale Community Hall located at 12 Lake Street, Windale. The building itself will be provided at no-cost by Council.
The relocation and reuse of the existing Windale Community Hall is a strategic project for Council, which aims to reduce costs and support Council’s sustainability principles. The opportunity may be an ideal way for a not-for-profit or for-purpose organisation to enhance their service offering to the community.
Council is offering to provide the building at no-cost. In return, the organisation that receives the building will be responsible for all subsequent actions and costs in relation to transport, building approvals and risk.
We would like the transaction of building relocation to be completed by Tuesday 31 August 2021 to align with Council’s demolition and rebuild timeframe.
Council reserves the right not to proceed with this Expression of Interest of the project as a whole.
Council’s preference is to provide the building to a not-for-profit or for-purpose organisation that presents a reuse proposal that aligns with Councils values. Where a compelling case is presented, Council may be willing to enter into a cost sharing arrangement in respect of the relocation expenses.
Council is also willing to be flexible in negating terms of agreement with interested organisations and is able to put interested parties in contact with service providers that may be able to assist with the relocation.
