Mornington Peninsula Shire is pleased to call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified visual artists or art collectives to create a public artwork as part of our Graffiti Prevention Mural Project.
The Shire receives around 25 graffiti reports a week including Shire and private properties. The project will build upon the success of other Shire murals that have had little or no graffiti issues and will deliver two murals in graffiti hotspots telling meaningful stories about our Peninsula.
Artists from across Australia are invited to submit concepts for two locations in Rosebud. More locations across our Peninsula will be announced on our website.
The Shire recognises the value and impact of arts and culture to our community. We aim to provide services, events and experiences to support the development of a vibrant, sustainable arts and cultural sector.
We hope to have the murals created between June and September 2021
