Construction of Cell 1 Landfill Cell and Leachate Pond 1 at the Coolgardie Waste Facility

⁠⁠⁠The Shire of Coolgardie is the owner and responsible party of the Coolgardie Waste Facility ("the Site"), which is located off Coolgardie Tip Road, Coolgardie, Western Australia, approximately 2 km west of Coolgardie town.

The site currently accepts less than 5000 tonnes per annum (tpa) of Class II waste. The Site is not currently licensed as the Site's annual intake of waste has been below the licensing threshold and the Site is "registered" as a Category 89 prescribed premises rather than "licensed" as a Category 64 Class II and III landfill.

It is proposed to expand the current facility within and along the western boundary of the Site to accept Class III waste. The future Site will comprise of engineered landfill cells, leachate and stormwater ponds as well as other general site infrastructure and specific waste management infrastructure.

The Shire is seeking proposals from reputable and reliable contractors for Construction of construction of Cell 1 and Leachate Pond 1 (hereinafter referred to as the "Stage 1 Landfill Works") at the Coolgardie Waste Facility as per the Coolgardie Waste Facility Cell 1 and Leachate Technical Specification and Quality Assurance Plan.

Tenderers are required to attend a virtual Tender Briefing meeting on Monday, 10 May 2021 at 09:30 am (WST).
The meeting will be a Zoom meeting and participants will be provided with the meeting link prior to the meeting.

Failure to attend this Tender Briefing will render the Tenderer ineligible to Tender.
