The Solution Train Engineer, reporting to the Portfolio Delivery Director, is responsible for planning and managing technical solution design of ICT Projects. The role will be responsible for solution design of Salesforce, Vlocity, App Exchange Products and its immediate integrations.
Duties:
• Define Solution Governance process for entire platform including templates and solution design review process
• Responsible for management of approvals for Salesforce solution design for projects
• Responsible for alignment and consistency of design across program business scope with the help of Salesforce and NDIA End-to-End architects
• Responsible for promoting re-use and minimising custom development through the process of design reviews and endorsements
• Works collaboratively with Project RTEs, Technical leads and Functional Consultants to plan and deliver solution design in line with projects sprint plan
• Responsible for identifying technical risks and dependencies across Salesforce platform
• Collaborate with projects architects to keep the details and build on track
• Oversight squads technical releases and identify bottlenecks across the entire solution
• Organises, standardises documentation and process for Solution Review Board & chair Solution Review Board
• Input to Portfolio Kanban and assess solution health via its metrics
• Escalate impediments, risks and help ensure value delivery, and help drive relentless improvement
• Manage and optimise the flow of value using various tools, such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Co-facilitate planning event and foster preparation of end state vision of Platform architecture
• Establish a positive team environment
• Be a champion for continuous improvement
