Mobile Device (Phone) Detection Cameras

⁠⁠⁠Addressing the issue of driver distraction is a key priority for the ACT Government to support the safety of all road users.

The Territory is seeking to expand its road safety camera program to include an automated camera-based technology solution which can target the illegal use of mobile devices while driving in order to improve road safety, change driver attitudes towards mobile device use while driving and reduce road trauma and the associated costs.

The Territory will seek proposals from suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to provide an automated camera-based technology solution (cameras and system) to be implemented within the ACT Road Environment.

The Territory does not guarantee this Advance Notice will result in an open tender opportunity.
