Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The Tender shall be for the construction of the whole of the Works, unless otherwise stated in the Tender Documents and shall include the following:
1. Soil and erosion controls.
2. Controlled excavations under the supervision of an archaeology consultant seeking to uncover and record any additional archaeological material additional to that already uncovered.
3. Demolition and salvage of historical relics from site's previous uses. These relics being:
4. Brick well
5. Brick Underground cellar.
The work will involve removal of the upper 6 courses of brickwork from both the well and the cellar under the supervision of an archaeology consultant engaged by the Principal. Salvaged brickwork to be transported to a Council's Peels St Deport.
6. Filling of remnant cellar using imported select fill materials.
7. Construct reinforced concrete dwarf wall (wall types 1 and 2) to the height and length shown on project drawings.
8. Construct reinforced concrete core filled block wall with integrated reinforced concrete cantilever footing (wall types 3, 4 and 5) to the height and length shown on project drawings. Blockwork to be laid horizontally and contractor is to determine on site suitable locations for vertical steps in the footing and in the top of the wall. Blockwork shall be Baines Masonry split face finish in the colour "Oakdale" as shown below, or approved equivalent. Samples to be provided to superintendent for approval of the colour to ordering of block materials.
9. Application of non-sacrificial graffiti proof coating to wall face.
10. Supply and install 1.8m high "Colorbond" fencing along common boundaries. Colour - "Surfmist".
11. Supply and install treated pine timber paling fence, with galvanized steel posts, along the common side boundaries to the frontage of Bentinck street. Timber fence to be 1.2m high at the Bentinck street boundary tapering to 1.8m high at a 4.8m setback from the front boundary. Thereafter the fencing to be Colorbond per the dot point above.
12. Removal of stand of trees to make way for retaining wall construction.
13. Removal and salvage of existing green colorbond fence and timber sleeper retaining wall as shown in the image below. This section of boundary fencing shall be reinstated using salvaged fence materials after new blockwork retaining wall has been constructed.
14. Legally dispose of all rubbish and materials.
15. Works as executed drawings
16. Provide any other site works as directed by the Superintendent.
