APPOINTMENT OF A CREATIVE, PRODUCTION AND/OR MEDIA BUYING AGENCY TO HOLISTICALLY MARKET THE NEW SHEPPARTON ART MUSEUM (SAM) PRE, DURING AND POST OPENING WEEKEND CELEBRATIONS - LUMP SUM CONTRACT
The new Shepparton Art Museum (SAM) building was completed in January 2021, with the official Opening Weekend Celebrations currently planned for the 15 – 17 October 2021.
Critical to the initial success, receptiveness and awareness of the new SAM building by the Greater Shepparton community and broader audiences, are the Opening Celebrations that will comprises a range of messaging/narratives, activities, events, exhibitions and programs.
Via this Request for Quotation process, Council is seeking to appoint a creative, production and media buying agency to work with Council, SAM Limited, Regional Arts Australia, Kaiela Arts and Visitor Centre (Council owned and operated) to market the new SAM in the lead up to, during and post the opening launch of the new building.
The aims of the SAM Opening Weekend Celebrations marketing campaign are:
- Create or further nurture an emotional connection with SAM leading to a sense of ownership, pride and brand loyalty.
- Educate and dispel misconceptions regarding SAM.
- Celebrate SAM’s evolution – past, present and future.
- Generate a sense of excitement and anticipation in the lead up to the opening of new SAM.
- Ensure connectivity between pre, during and post opening launch marketing activities.
- For new SAM to play a critical role in the recovery phase of the COVID-19 emergency in providing the opportunity for the community to re-connect, provide new experiences and assist in driving the economic recovery of the Greater Shepparton region.
- Drive attendance numbers for the opening celebrations.
- Deliver an integrated marketing campaign that is on-brand and underpinned by the narrative of new SAM.
