Tender Description
A high level of retail expenditure – including for hospitality and entertainment activities – has historically skewed toward Albury over Wodonga, over time impacting the retail sector within Wodonga. The increasing popularity of online retail has also affected existing retail industry for the region.
The renewed city space presents opportunities to continue to establish a flourishing CBA. Supporting the activation of strong retail sector in Wodonga is of significant importance for the city, as it impacts the local economy, local employment opportunities, as well as the liveability of residents and the regional catchment seeking retail and entertainment product. Retail is also key to activating major town centres and growing night-time economy.
For these reasons, Council is seeking a qualified and experienced consultant to collaborate with council and community stakeholders to develop the ‘Wodonga CBA Retail Strategy 2021-2024’.
