Tender Description
The Indigenous Councils Critical Infrastructure Program (ICCIP) is a $120 million Queensland Government program that is provided to Indigenous councils in Queensland to repair or replace critical water, wastewater and solid waste infrastructure. The initiative is being delivered by the Department of Local Government, Racing and Multicultural Affairs (DLGRMA).
The Torres Strait Island Regional Council is a recipient of the Indigenous Councils Critical Infrastructure Program (ICCIP) funding, for the upgrade of Badu Island and Iama Island Sewage Pump Stations (SPS).
The upgrade works required are summarised as follows:
- Replacement and upgrade of existing pump stations Badu 1, Badu 2, Badu 3, Badu 4, Badu 5, Iama 1, and Iama 2.
- Upgrade of electrical equipment, mechanical equipment (pumps, pipes, and fittings, etc), concrete works, and security fencing.
- Influent flowmeter installation at the Badu STP lagoons.
