Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠During the Mesa A Hub proposal baseline studies, The Priority 1 taxon Abutilon sp. Onslow (F.Smith s.n. 10/9/61) wasrecorded within the western portion of the Development Envelope (Warramboo borefield extension area). Potential impacts to this species include inadvertent clearing of additional individuals and potential indirect impacts due to weeds. The Mesa A Hub EMP therefore includes management-based provisions for Abutilon sp. Onslow to protect flora and vegetation so that biological diversity and ecological integrity of the area are maintained.

In order to mitigate any potential indirect impacts from invasive weed species on the Abutilon sp. Onslow population, weed transect monitoring is proposed in the areas the species is known. The weed transect monitoring will form an annual program, 2021 being the first year it will be conducted. Information from the weed transect monitoring will feed into annual weed control activities to ensure weed are being appropriately managed in the area and are not having a detrimental impact on Abutilon sp. Onslow.

The scope includes the installation of four monitoring transects and monitoring of high priority weed species and abutilon sp. Onslow priority 1 species along the transects and the submission of information collected in a report as well as data submission as per data standards.
