Tender Description
Council is seeking a suitably qualified contractor or consultant to develop and implement a community engagement approach in support of the development of its integrated medium-to-long-term strategic plans.
Scope and Deliverables
The scope includes consultation with Councillors, senior management, staff and the Community in order to inform the development of Council’s strategic deliverables in line with the requirements of LGA 2020.
Deliverables include:
- An overall engagement process including timelines, engagement types and locations, facilitation guides and resourcing;
- Management of the rollout of the process;
- Development of engagement collateral that is suitable for reuse and is reflective of Council’s brand;
- Assistance with engagement facilitation, input collation and analysis in collaboration with the communications and engagement team; and
- Post engagement review covering opportunities for improvement for future engagement initiatives.
The engagement process is to incorporate a Councillor aspirations workshop which is to be scheduled in the first half of March 2021.
While quality external assistance is critical, it is also acknowledged that Councillors and Council staff should be the primary ‘face’ of engagement to community audiences.
It is anticipated that the delivery of these milestones will require multiple visits to the Towong Shire and may include weekend and after-hours attendance. It will also involve making presentations and having discussions with Councillors.
