The Department of Jobs, Precincts & Regions (DJPR) drives economic development and job creation across Victoria, incorporating investment attraction and facilitation, trade, agriculture, creative industries, and resources.

To support Victoria’s steps towards COVID normal, DJPR is aiming to implement COVIDSafe technologies to mitigate public health risks at government-operated venues and major public events. As such three new eServices Categories have been established on the Victorian Government eServices Register to cater for such technologies.

DJPR is inviting suppliers with solutions that fall under these categories to register on the Victorian Government eServices Register, so their offerings become visible to prospective Government entities who utilise the register for procurement activities.

The following new categories have been established under the eServices Register that relate to immediate needs by Government entities for COVIDSafe technology.

1. Technologies to support compliance with the public health response:

Technologies may include smartphone application and web-based solutions that offer solutions for visitor registration and integration with the Victorian Government contact tracing solution that support compliance with the public health response.

2. Hardware based registration & screening systems:

Hardware based systems such as kiosks, cameras and other devices that offer visitor registration, contact tracing and screening capabilities including thermal scanning.

3. Physical Distancing Solutions:

Solutions that offer crowd management (head counting, density monitoring and loiter detection) for physical distancing and crowd control and assist facility operators with cleaning and sanitisation requirements through cleaning based on foot traffic rather than timed intervals.
