1 Harper Street Beechworth - Plumbing Repairs

Indigo Shire Council are seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experience Contractor to undertake plumbing works at 1 Harper Avenue, Beechworth.

Background

The subject Building was the former Beechworth Library and Indigo Shire Council has recently entered into a Commercial Lease Agreement for the property. An inspection has identified cracking in the Brick Veneer Walls. An Engineers Report has identified that the cause of the cracking was due to the downpipes not being connected to the stormwater allowing water to pool around the foundations. Council is now looking to rectify this problem.

SCOPE OF WORKS

• Remove 3 existing metal downpipes marked A, B & C and replace with 90 mm pvc pipes.
• Connect downpipe marked A to a new 90 mm pvc pipe to be suspended under floor and ran to downpipe marked C.
• Connect downpipe marked B to new 90 mm pvc pipe to be ran along external wall past external storage shed. (Pipe may be installed through brick walls of shed.
• At junction of 3 pipes upsize pipe to 100 mm pvc and connect into existing storm water drain.
• Clean roof gutters of leaf litter and install gutter guard to gutter.
• Remove all leftover materials from site.
