The Department of Health and Human Services has established HealthShare Victoria (HSV) to consolidate and manage the purchasing, supply and distribution of medical equipment across the public health services in Victoria. HealthShare Victoria will provide a single point of accountability, establish effective state-wide governance, and lead improvements in the medical supply chain. HealthShare Victoria’s initial responsibilities will include managing Victoria’s supply of medical consumables, including critical personal protective equipment.

HealthShare Victoria will be established under the Health Services Act and will absorb the functions currently provided by Health Purchasing Victoria. There will be a complete renewal of Health Purchasing Victoria’s mission, structure and functions. 

As part of the HSV establishment, a central distribution centre is being set up to manage the supply chain across metro and regional health services. Fit out of a new distribution facility in Derrimut VIC is required to be completed by Feb 28th 2021. Alternative dates may form part of discussion with HSV and the successful responder.

Monash Health is issuing this Request for Proposal on behalf of Healthshare Victoria and inviting suitable and experienced vendors who can provide the required goods and services as outlined in Part B of this RFP.
