Tender Description
Council is seeking quotations from suitably qualified and experienced consultants as follows;
- to provide independent investment advisory services
- to maximise returns from investment activities while exercising the care, diligence and skill
that a “prudent” person would exercise when investing funds.
- to minimise risks by diversifying across a range of investments (within policy guidelines)
- to invest within the legislative constraints imposed on investments via the Ministers
Guidelines
-- to minimise idle cash and thereby maximise the returns on Councils total investable funds
- provide best practice investment strategy and advice on an optimal investment policy that complies with statutory requirements (Local Government Act 1993, Minister of LG Investment order),
Council's investment portfolio forecast for 2020/21 is expected to be approximately $43 Million. Council's Cash Investment Policy sets out specific requirements of its investment adviser in relation to investment strategy, provision of ongoing advice, portfolio review and reporting.
Product manufacturers/distributors will be excluded from this process.
