EOIs sought for Indoor Stadium Reference Group

⁠⁠⁠The City of Stonnington is seeking expressions of interest from people wishing to join the Multipurpose Indoor Stadium Stakeholder Reference Group.

The role of the Reference Group is to provide input and advice to Council in relation to a review of potential site locations for the multipurpose indoor stadium.

The Stakeholder Reference Group membership will be:

• City of Stonnington Mayor and North Ward Councillor, Kate Hely (Chairperson)
• 1x City of Stonnington South Ward Councillor
• 1x City of Stonnington East Ward Councillor
• 1x Prahran Netball Association representative
• 1x Basketball Victoria representative
• 3x community representatives (one representative from each Ward - East, North and South)
• City of Stonnington - Director Environment and Infrastructure
• City of Stonnington - Manager Active Communities

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for a Community Representative position, you must:

• be a resident of the City of Stonnington within the nominated Ward (owner or occupier);
• be active and well regarded in the local community;
• be willing to attend meetings of the Stakeholder Reference Group;
• have experience working with committees to achieve positive outcomes;
• not have a financial interest in the development; and
• not work for the City of Stonnington.

About the role
Community Representatives must be available for out-of-normal business hours meetings, between January 2021 until the expected end date of the site review, April 2021.

It is expected meetings be held monthly, however they may be more frequent if required.

Members of the Stakeholder Reference Group are expected to behave in a respectful and constructive manner in all activities associated with the Multipurpose Indoor Stadium project.

Members will be required to sign a Code of Conduct consistent with the values and behaviours outlined in the City of Stonnington Councillor Code of Conduct.
