Tender Description
Lupton Way shared zone construction in Boronia. The project aims to improve pedestrian and cyclists safety and permeability through to Boronia Train Station and the local shops by increase driver awareness of different road users within the area; reduce vehicle speeds; and encourage higher pedestrian and cyclist movement and increase lingering times within the area.
The improvement works will include the redesign of Lupton Way and the interface to adjacent properties to improve the safety of pedestrian and cyclists access through Lupton Way. The design will employ traffic treatments such as raised threshold treatments, seating, planter boxes, speed reduction devices to emphasise the low speed zone. Vehicle access to pick-up/drop-off zone, taxi zone, rear access car parking, loading zones and garbage pick-up will also be considered.
