AMRs or equivalent for HealthShare Victoria Distribution Centre

⁠⁠⁠The establishment of HealthShare Victoria (HSV) will build upon improvements made to Victoria’s medical consumables supply chain reform during the COVID-19 pandemic, including the establishment of a centralised procurement and supply chain for PPE and medical equipment. This reform represents a significant strengthening of Victoria’s core public sector capabilities and will provide substantial short and long-term benefits for Victoria’s health system and patients.

HealthShare Victoria will commence operations in 2021, for which the planned distribution centre needs to be operationalised. There are number of infrastructure work streams and associated activities including design, sourcing and commissioning of equipment which needs to be completed on time before the go live date.

As part of its development plan, Health Share is now exploring options for automation which will provide some step change from their existing processes and practices. This will involve a series of AMRs moving full pallets and racks to pick parts which will provide the operators the ability to pick multiple orders simultaneously and continue to isolate full carton and inner picks from the clean room requirements. In due course, it is expected that the clean room products will be picked from vertical carousels adjacent to the AMR pick area.

Monash Health is issuing this Expression of Interest (EOI) on behalf of Healthshare Victoria and inviting suitable and experienced vendors to supply the required goods and services. Monash Health objectives and general requirements are set out in more detail in Part B of this ITS Document.

This EOI is the first stage of a possible two-stage procurement process. The purpose of this EOI is to:

• Enable vendors to express their interest as prospective service/ solution providers; and
• Facilitate an assessment of the ability of vendors to provide the required goods and/or services.
• Enable Monash Health to refine their requirements for preparation of subsequent tender.

Vendors who demonstrate an ability to provide the required goods and/or services to the required standard may be invited to respond to a subsequent request for proposal (RFP).
