Agriculture Victoria Research (AVR), a branch of the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR), is focused on supporting and growing Victoria’s agriculture sector through research, development and extension.

AVR’s Ellinbank SmartFarm, situated at 1301 Hazeldean Road, Ellinbank, researches new genetic and nutritional technologies and on-farm practices for the benefit of Victoria’s dairy industry.

AVR is seeking to purchase a horizontal feed mixer wagon to prepare and deliver customised feed rations for research and farm operations.

Mandatory requirements: The mixer wagon must have a horizontal mixer system to ensure efficient mixing with a consistent particle size and more even chop length. AVR needs to ensure that there is complete consistency in feed supply to satisfy research requirements, and this cannot be guaranteed with a vertical auger system.
