Tender Description
The works scope generally covers a 2500m section of the Kywong Howlong Road between Walbundrie and Brocklesby.
This road has been constructed with sections on fill to bring it above the surrounding natural surface. The original embankment has recently been augmented with bulk fill outside the existing road shoulders.
The works includes the re-construction of the existing narrow pavement to a width in keeping with Councils road strategy.
Contractors should be aware that the works are adjacent a relatively busy road with a significant proportion of heavy vehicles. Appropriate works management and careful traffic control will be a significant requirement of this project.
It's expected that a tender report will be submitted to Council early in 2021.
Contracts will be signed soon after that meeting with an expected commencement date to be late in the financial year.
A non-compulsory pre-tender meet will be held on site at 10.00am on Thursday 3th December 2020.
The meeting place will be at the intersection with Cannings Road.
Tenderers may inspect the site at any time.
