Tender Description
Lindisfarne North Primary School and Libraries Tasmania are seeking applications from contemporary Tasmanian artists that responds to their unique shared site. Artists may apply for one or both parts of this commission.
Part A
An artwork in the school grounds that communicates and furthers the school’s vision of ‘growing a community of inspired learners’. This could include sculptural interventions, earthworks, plantings, sound elements or a combination of media.
Part B
A 2D graphic artwork on the exterior wall of the archive facility which improves the aesthetic appeal and references the archival records contained within. Archival material is available which records the history of Lindisfarne North Primary School.
A site visit has been arranged at 10am on Friday 27 November 2020 for artists to meet school and Libraries Tasmania staff and to observe how students use the school grounds. To participate, please contact the Arts Tasmania program officer.
