Warrnambool Learning and Library Hub

⁠⁠⁠PROJECT SUMMARY

The Victorian Government is partnering with South-West TAFE and Warrnambool City Council to deliver the Warrnambool Learning and Library Hub. The new Learning and Library Hub comprises the refurbishment of a heritage listed building and connection of a new three-storey learning and library centre. The new Learning and Library Hub will replace the existing library in Liebig Street, with a much larger, brighter, modern and more accessible space. The new space will provide iconic, fit for purpose, accessible, technologically advanced learning and library facilities for both the community and South-West TAFE staff and students.

The project has many stakeholders with funding provided by the Department of Education and Training, South-West TAFE and Warrnambool City Council, with the building sited on the South-West TAFE Warrnambool Campus. This is a high-profile project for the Warrnambool community and surrounds and will deliver an important public building for the city.

The project is expected to go out to tender in February 2021 under a selective tender process using a Construct only form of contract.

SELECTIVE TENDER INFORMATION

It is anticipated that 4 firms will be invited to submit a tender.

The firm must be prequalified in New Commercial Construction on the Construction Supplier Register with a minimum project limit of at least $15 million.

Other considerations will be the firm’s capacity, capability and experience on education, civic, heritage and live environment projects.
