Tender Description
The Department of Health and Human Services is intending to release a Request for Tender in January 2021 for the provision of contaminated waste services (sharps collection and disposal) within high rise public housing estates in Melbourne. The contract will include routine site inspections, collection, disposal and reporting of contaminated waste. This contract will also allow for the provision (supply & fitting) of steel sealed sharps containers ranging from 1.8 litres to 15 litres with disposal chutes. This will be an open public tender and tender participants will need to complete a Local Industry Development Plan (LIDP) as part of Local Jobs First requirements. Site visits will be held at a number of high-rise buildings with important information being provided to Tenderers including the size and layout of public housing buildings, the areas in which services are required and an outline of security, access and egress protocols.
