Beechworth to Yackandandah Rail Trail - Section 5 Construction - Roundabout to Yackandandah

Council invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to construct Section 5 of the Rail Trail from the top of the Yackandandah Road near the Beechworth-Wodonga Road Roundabout to the existing shared path at the Welcome to Yackandandah sign (before Kars Street). The trail runs within the Regional Roads Victoria road reserve for 3.86 kilometres, 1.06 kilometres on the old Rail Formation within Commissioners Creek reserve. The whole section is approximately 4.92 kilometres long and 2 metres wide, and will connect with the trail adjacent to the Beechworth-Wodonga Road, Wooragee.

There will be a pre tendering briefing on Tuesday 17 November 2020 - 9:30am, at the Yackandandah North Rest Area, near the Roundabout at the junction of Yackandandah Road and the Beechworth-Wodonga Road.

Covid-19 social distancing requirements will need to be followed and after the briefing each contractor can view the site in their own time. If you are unwell, or unable attend site on this day you will be able to receive the briefing information over the phone, however it is important to thoroughly inspect the work site, surrounds and conditions as per Conditions of Tender
