Hero Apartment Building public art commission

⁠⁠⁠Applications for a new billboard-scale public art commission open on Friday 30 October.
​As part of the city’s reactivation program, City of Melbourne in partnership with Hero Apartment Building, is delighted to offer $5000 for a new public art commission.

Proposals for a new, static 2D artwork that embraces a sense of optimism, celebration or hope for the future are encouraged for the first round of this new opportunity.

A selection panel, chaired by the City of Melbourne, will choose one artwork to be fabricated and installed on the facade of the high-profile Hero Apartment Building on the corner of Russell and Little Collins streets, Melbourne.

This opportunity is open to artists who are residents of Victoria.

• Applications open Friday 30 October
• Submissions close Friday 20 November at 5pm AEST
• Shortlisting and selection Monday 23 to Friday 4 December
• Artist notification Monday 7 December
• Artwork installed Late December
