Cranford Pit - Located approximately 65.25 km on Torrens Creek Aramac Road from the Flinders Highway Turnoff. Cranford Pit is registered on the Council’s Sales Permit and is located within the road reserve. For the upcoming projects on Torrens Creek Aramac Road, Council wants to extract approximately.130,000 tonnes of road base from Cranford Pit. The Council have identified an area of approximately 265,529 m2 suitable for extraction of the material, and identified approximately 35,000 tonnes of existing stockpiled material that can be crushed and screened to use as road base. The contractors are required to source the gravel and stockpile the material on-site as per the MRTS 05 requirements. Cartage is not included in the scope, and Council may cart the material to the nominated location using their own trucks or engage a contractor to haul the gravel.
