Tender Description
Logan City Council invites requests for proposals from Respondents for the Logan Village Green Coffee Shop (Temporary/Mobile).
In the short term, it is proposed to provide a temporary coffee shop facility to test the market appetite for, and subsequent economic viability of, such a service on the Logan Village Green. The initiative will also help frame the future scope and delivery of a more permanent building in accordance with the Logan Village Green Masterplan.
More specifically the benefits of delivering a temporary/mobile service as a first step include;
Provision of an opportunity for a new business or existing local business to occupy a small tenancy in a prime location and to activate the Logan Village Green.
Provision of an opportunity to draw people to linger and spend time in the open space and adjacent adventure playground.
Deliver on a key outcome from the Logan Village Forum.
Test the feasibility of such a service prior to the construction of a more permanent structure, in order to maximise value for money and minimise expenditure risk.
The temporary/mobile cafe and adjacent outdoor eating area is to be located on the Logan Village Green at the nominated area as shown on the map below. Whilst this is Council's preferred location, other suitable locations will be considered subject to the provision of the rationale for the changed location.

Any questions and responses shall be collated, documented and distributed to all tenderers to ensure equity and fairness to all respondents.
The final date for accepting questions regarding this tender via the Online Forum, is 4:00pm Thursday, 19 November 2020. Any questions after this date will not receive a response.
SITE VISIT AND BRIEFING:
A site visit and briefing will be held for interested operators on 9 November 2020, commencing at 11am.
Attendance at the site visit and briefing is not mandatory. Council recommends attendance to enable Respondents to clearly understand site specific constraints and Council requirements.
Respondents are to contact (email: corporateprocurement@logan.qld.gov.au) by COB on 5 November 2020, advising the names of those proposing to attend the site visit and briefing. A maximum of two (2) representatives per company are able to attend.
Attendees should present at Logan Village Green, Wharf Street, Logan Village. No later than ten (10) minutes prior to the time allocated. The site visit and briefing is expected to conclude within one (1) hour.
