Tender Description

The Proposed Amenities Block is located in Bridge Reserve, Williams River Caravan Park in Clarence Town. The proposed development will provide accessible toilets, showers, vanities, wash tub and change table facilities for up to 50 campsites in the reserve within 100m radius of the building.
The Dungog Development Control Plan - Managing Our Floodplains, in accordance with Division 3.6 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, 1979 nominates the site as a floodway. Council have engaged Northrop consulting engineering services to develop the structural design for the building. The design provides an Engineers certificate for the structure to address requirements in the floodplain areas planning controls. Specifically the building has been designed to withstand the force of flood water, debris and buoyancy up to and including the forces enacted at the 1% AEP flood level .
Council have undertaken planning approvals for the building and can proceed with construction under the State Environmental Planning Policy (Infrastructure) 2007 Division 12, Parks and other Public reserves being defined as a development permitted without consent.
Council will provide electrical, sewer and plumbing services for the contractor to connect the building into. Further details are provided in the Tender Documents.
