Purchase & Removal of Former Guyra School Buildings

⁠⁠⁠Armidale Regional Council is preparing to construct a new Early Childhood Learning Centre at the rear of the Guyra Civic Administration Building and Town Library.

Council seeks Expressions of Interest and formal quotations for the acquisition and removal of the two (2) former Guyra Public School timber buildings (circ 1930s) so the new Learning Centre can proceed.

Approximate area and dimensions of buildings: Larger building - 214m2 (21.4m long x 10m wide), main ceiling height 3.3m, approximate overall height from floor level to roof apex 5.2m. Building divided into 5 rooms. Enclosed veranda 2.4m wide.
Smaller building - 150m2 (15m long x 10m wide), main ceiling height 3.3m, approximate overall height Civic Administration Building 135 Rusden Street PO Box 75A Armidale 2350 from floor level to roof apex 5.2m. Building divided into 2 rooms. Enclosed veranda 2.4m wide.
Buildings offered "as is" and successful Respondent/s will have access to the buildings from 1 February 2021. Must be removed and site cleaned up by 31 March 2021. Asbestos Report has been prepared for both buildings and available to interested parties.
Successful respondent responsible for managing any asbestos identified in the building, in accordance with EPA and Safe Work NSW requirements.
