Aqwest is seeking expressions of interest from vendors for the provision of goods, services or works for the Water Resource Recovery Scheme.
The project scope is to build a Water Resource Recovery Scheme (WRRS) capable of producing and distributing up to 5.6 megalitres of recycled water per day (peak demand) from the Bunbury WWTP.
The Bunbury Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) effluent will undergo further treatment to a standard that is suitable for irrigation of public open spaces and construction purposes.
The new Water Resource Recovery Scheme will treat water from the current WWTP effluent lagoons. The recovered water will then be pumped to a header tank at a high level near the existing WWTP site, then gravity fed to smaller day storage tanks located at the end user sites.
The scope includes design and construction of: filter feed pumps from existing Bunbury WWTP effluent lagoons; modular multi-media filtration; coagulant dosing; gas chlorination and ultraviolet irradiation; ancillary supporting systems; booster pumps and header tanks; distribution pipeline(s); day tanks.
