Tender Description
Yarra Valley Water requires an upgrade to the existing aeration system at Brushy Creek STP which is nearing the end of its operational life. Aeration blowers, distribution pipework, diffusers and electrical controls require replacement to maintain effective treatment and mitigate risks to YVW. The upgrade to the aeration system will reduce the energy consumption of the plant through improved aeration efficiency.
The tender will be released as a Design and Construct contract with the key objectives in the delivery of the these works to include the following:
1) A robust and efficient aeration system (A short list of preferred suppliers for the aeration systems has already been completed by YVW and the information of the preferred diffusers/blowers will be included in this tender.)
2) Efficient and autonomous control for the aeration system whilst optimising nitrogen removal and eliminating requirements for operator intervention (where practicable)
3) Removal of all blowers and blower controls from Blower Building 1 to provide space for future main feed electrical upgrades by others’
