Tender Description
Whanganui District Council (WDC) are inviting tenders from suitably experienced contractors for the provision of two new generators, which will allow critical equipment (not the whole site) to run in times of reticulated electricity supply failure.
The key outcomes include but are not restricted to;
- One to run the UV disinfection which is critical for micro biological kill of bacteria in the final discharged effluent. Including 7 sets of UV lights, Inlet Work Feeder, Potable Water, Fire Water Pump, Effluent Booster Pump Set, Wet Weather Pump, Controls, and Building Services Distribution.
- Another one to run 4 sets of Bio-filter Blowers, Sludge Mixing Pump, 2 Clarifiers, 4 sets of Aeration Blowers, Air Compressor, Biogas Flare, and Instrumentation & Control.
Note: Before submitting a tender, the supplier must have visited the site (Whanganui Wastewater Treatment) and undertaken the necessary evaluation work for deciding on the optimum size of the two generators required.
