Tender Description
The Mt Buller Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) services the Mt Buller Village and surrounding catchments, and is operated by the Mt Buller Mt Stirling Resort Management Board (RMB). The current Class C plant operates well for the majority of the year however treatment has been compromised during recent peak winter visitation, particularly during wet weather and snowmelt events. These events have been characterised by high solids loads carried over from aeration to clarification and subsequently discharged.
RMB is taking a proactive approach to reduce the risk of solids carry over and has embarked on a STP upgrade process, which has included a comprehensive options investigation to determine the preferred option for upgrade as detailed in the accompanying documents.
