Tender Description
Council is calling for expressions of interest for a member of the community to serve as a community representative on the Braidwood and Curtilage Heritage Advisory Committee.
The role of the Braidwood and Curtilage Heritage Advisory Committee is to:
- Promote and celebrate heritage.
- Provide a community based committee to give advice/recommendations on heritage issues of a strategic nature within the Braidwood and Curtilage area.
- Provide a community based committee to give advice/recommendations on heritage issues arising from certain types of development applications within the Braidwood and Curtilage area. Development applications that may be considered include those:
- Requested by the Heritage Advisor;
- Involving external work for buildings in Wallace Street where the proposed work will be visible from a public street or place;
- Monitor the implementation of council’s heritage policy;
- Raise community awareness of heritage issues;
- Review funding submissions for access to Council’s heritage funds as requested.
The meetings are held on a monthly basis on the second Thursday of the month at the Council Office, Braidwood.
Written expressions of interest, indicating the skills applicants have that could assist the Committee, should be marked “Expression of Interest – Braidwood and Curtilage Heritage Advisory Committee” and addressed to Land-Use Planning, Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council, PO Box 90, Queanbeyan NSW 2620 or emailed to landuseadmin@qprc.nsw/gov.au .
