Riri Street Pavement Rehabilitation

⁠⁠⁠Riri Street is situated in the industrial/commercial zone within the suburb of Mangakakahi on the western side of Old Taupo Road (SH5). Riri Street is classified as a local road under the one network road classification.

•  The site is located on Riri Street between RP 860m-950m with the intersection of Tallyho Street at the northern end.
•  There are 3 commercial driveways within the extents of the works where access will need to be maintained
•  The road is classified as flat.
•  The existing sealed pavement width is to be maintained.
•  The site also includes the reconstruction of 170m of reinforced kerb and channel.
•  Riri Street had a traffic count of 2319 vehicles per day in 2019 recorded as 3% heavy (adjusted to 8% to allow for vehicles crossing the road between the two Concrete Structures yards)
•  The posted speed limit is 50km/h.

The scope of this contract is for the supply of all plant, labour, materials, quality assurance, as-built drawings and incidentals necessary for:

•  Site Clearance
•  Earthworks
•  Drainage - kerb, channel and catch pits
•  Pavement Construction

The Contractor will also be responsible for maintenance of any defects for six months after the Practical Completion Certificate has been issued.

Tenderers are advised that the Principal reserves the right to vary the scale of the works to fit within the constraints of the available funding for this project. There shall be no claim for a variation, as a result of any change to the scale of the works.
